What you will need for proof of work:
employer’s name
hiring date
hours worked
pay stubs
It is better to be prepared with the above than waiting for the last minute. Missing information can easily result in claim denial. Be available to respond to questions about work history if work records are hard to materialize (self employment, etc.) additional proofs may need to be submitted in this case (1090 form). Stay flexible with schedules and be available to show up for inquiries if asked.
Satisfying work history requirements in the application is as crucial as any other requested information. Remember, most SSDI applications get denied. Don’t make any unnecessary mistakes.
