If you suspect you’ve been targeted by a scam or are a victim of fraud related to SSDI, report it immediately:
SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG): Call their fraud hotline at 1-800-269-0271 or submit a report
online at oig.ssa.gov.
Federal Trade Commission (FTC): Report fraud at reportfraud.ftc.gov or call 1-877-IDTHEFT (1-877-438-
4338) for identity theft.
Your Bank/Financial Institutions: If you’ve provided financial information, contact your bank immediately.
Police: Consider filing a police report, especially if your identity has been stolen.
